FREE 8-Week Positive Parenting Group for parents!
Starting September 21, 2017
In this group, parents can learn positive parenting skills as well as gaining peer supports from each other.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Parents who have children under 12 years old.
- Parents of children with sexual violence history and/or parents with sexual violence history will be prioritized.

FREE 12-Week Youth Enrichment Course for teens!
Starting September 22, 2017
Registration deadline: September 15, 2017
In this skills-based, anti-violence education program, youth will be learning about the importance of healthy relationships and communication in their lives.
WHEN?
Fridays, 4:30-6:30PM (September 22 – December 22, 2017)
*Metrocards and a free light dinner provided
WHERE?
Womankind (Youth Enrichment Program)
86-26 Broadway 2F, Elmhurst, NY 11373
Eligibility Criteria:
- 14-18 year old (open to all gender identities)
- Has been impacted by gender-based violence (including: domestic violence, dating abuse/intimate partner violence, human trafficking, and/or sexual assault)
WHAT?
The course provides a supportive space where youth can explore their identity, relationships, and values and ask questions among peers without fear of judgment. Activities, games, creative arts and discussion are used to help youth enhance their critical-thinking and decision-making skills, increase self and community awareness, and build confidence and interpersonal skills, guiding them to lead positive lives.
Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion to use for college admissions or future jobs. Youth who complete this course and the following leadership course may become eligible for a paid internship.
